Kvinoja – Quinoa se najčešće opisuje kao žitarica (iako je to ustvari sjeme) koja prirodno ne sadrži gluten, s najvećim sadržajem proteina.
U svom nutritivnom profilu sadrži svih 9 esencijalnih aminokiselina, što je čini kompletnim izvorom proteina. Lizin i izoleucin su posebno značajni jer ih većina drugih žitarica nema u svom sastavu.
Način upotrebe: Prije kuhanja sjemenke dobro isprati i procijediti. Sjemenke nakon ispiranja zalijte vodom (na 1 šalicu kvinoje dodajte 2 do 2,5 šalice vode) pa lagano kuhajte 15-tak min uz povremeno miješanje dok voda ne ispari.
